My recordings aren't being transcribed

Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Speech Recognition and make sure Shruti.ai is enabled. Also check that Microphone access is granted.

Will I lose my journal if I delete the app?

Yes — all data is stored locally on your device. Export your journal as Markdown files before deleting the app if you want to keep your entries.

Does the app work without internet?

Yes. All processing — transcription, tagging, task detection — runs on-device. No internet connection is ever required.

How do I back up my journal?

Use the Export feature to save your entries as Markdown files, then move them to a location of your choice (Files app, iCloud Drive, etc.).

I forgot my biometric lock PIN

Biometric lock uses your device Face ID or Touch ID — there is no separate PIN. If biometrics fail, you can use your device passcode as a fallback.
